The Terk HD-TVS may give antenna purists convulsions with its style-conscious looks, but this antenna is not just a pretty face - there is some real substance behind this award-winning antenna. Utilizing Winegard's Square Shooter design and technology, the antenna - which is roughly the size of a medium pizza box -- effectively pulls in both UHF and VHF signals from respectable distances.

The HD-TVS was built for a fairly specific market segment, namely those in urban areas. The reason being that the HD-TVS was optimized to pull in reflected signals. So if you look out your window and see a skyscraper -- this is the antenna for you. If you are in a more rural area there are better choices..

Installation is a fairly simple affair. The antenna mounts on the same type of mast as that a standard digital satellite uses -- in fact if you already have a DS dish, you can mount the HD-TVS to that mast using the supplied hardware. This allows you to have a single mast attached to your home. But if you chose another method of installation, thats no problem either, as all the necessary installation hardware is included for multiple installation options. Another nice thing about the unit is that it can be painted to better match your home or apartment.

You can buy better antennas for your money, but if you are in an urban area and want something that doesn't look like you're running a radio station in your basement, this is a solid choice.
