This
is Terk's take on the log periodic antenna. These have a
solid reputation due to their ability to pull in uhf stations with good
reliability. They do tend however to be highly directional. This can be
a problem if you have stations coming in from different directions.
Comparison testing did reveal the Terk HDTVa to be less
directional than other similar models.
Build quality is satisfactory.
These log periodic antennas do tend to be rather flimsy, but
the Terk model compares favorably to its competitors. Just be careful
to keep it in a stable location where the kids or pets can access it --
it does tend to topple over if not positioned properly.
If you do purchase this
antenna make sure to carefully read the installation instructions, as
the unit requires a firm push to be set properly in its base.
The antenna is optimized for
both UHF and VHF bands.
